Through this program, you can receive a discount on air conditioner (AC) tune-ups and take advantage of exclusive discounts on energy-efficient cooling upgrades. Whether you’re looking to upgrade your current system or simply need a maintenance check, the CoolSaver Program can help make your home more energy-efficient and comfortable all year round.
Available Discounts:
- Free A/C Tune-ups ($250 Discount): Includes airflow correction, air filter cleaning or replacement, refrigerant analysis, and cleaning of indoor blower, evaporator coils, and condenser coils
- A/C Tune-ups with Refrigerant Adjustments ($100 Discount): If refrigerant levels are low, a top-up can be added for an additional discount.
- Central A/C Replacement ($1000 Discount): Replace an older central air conditioning unit (SEER 14 or lower) with a high-efficiency unit (SEER 18).
Eligibility Requirements:
To qualify for the CoolSaver Program, you must:
- Reside in eligible areas, including Ottawa, York Region, or Toronto’s Richview South area.
- Be a customer of Toronto Hydro, Hydro Ottawa, Hydro One, or Alectra Utilities.
- Own or rent a single-family home (tenants must provide a signed homeowner consent form).
- Register and complete the upgrades.

- Free A/C Tune-ups (up to $800 Discount): This includes advanced services such as airflow correction, refrigerant analysis, and cleaning of key components.
- Instant Discounts on Upgrades: Receive discounts on high-efficiency equipment such as fans, controls, belts, and advanced rooftop units.
- Reduced Maintenance Costs: Regular tune-ups and upgrades extend the lifespan of your cooling equipment.
- Improved Energy Efficiency: Decrease energy consumption and operating costs, contributing to a more sustainable business.
